Rafael Rivas Founding Partner
Rafael Rivas is the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Ágora. He previously served as Head of Rothschild’s Colombia office between 2000 and 2004.
Prior to Rothschild, he was a founding partner of Económica Consultores, an economic and regulatory consulting firm.
He served as Economic Secretary to the Presidency during the administration of César Gaviria, and also held roles as advisor to the Director of the Departamento Nacional de Planeación and to the Fiscal Policy Council at the Ministry of Finance.
Rafael Rivas is a Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University, holds an M.Sc. from Queen Mary University of London, and is an economist from Williams College.
He is an occasional columnist in various publications and co-author, together with Armando Montenegro, of Las Piezas del Rompecabezas.
He has served on the boards of directors of leading companies, including Bavaria, Publicaciones Semana, Biomax, Corporación Financiera Colombiana, FINDETER, and SOFASA, among others.
As Economic Secretary to the Presidency, he was a permanent invitee to the Board of the Banco de la República. He also served on the National Tariff Board, was a professor at Universidad de los Andes, and a member of the editorial board of Revista Dinero.

Alfredo Uribe Managing Partner
Background
Economist from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with over 17 years of experience in investment banking. Currently serves as Managing Partner at Ágora. Previously, he was Vice President of Investment Banking at Bancapital (2015–2018), where he led the execution of the investment banking division. Earlier in his career, he worked for more than five years as a Project Manager at Ultrabursátiles. At Ágora, he has participated in M&A, project finance, valuation, privatization, and capital raising mandates.

Alfredo has recently participated in the following transactions:
- Advised Climate Fund Managers (CFM) on the sale of the Pétalo del Norte I solar project (27 MWp)
- Advised on the sale of the Solar Zaino project (12.6 MWp) and the Quinchía small hydro project (2.5 MW), including process structuring and financial analysis
- Advised Tecnova (Bosch Ecuador) on the sale to Conauto
- Valuation of Seguros Confianza in connection with a call option exercised by one of its shareholders
- Developed financial models and advised SER on the valuation of public policy implementation for members of SER Colombia
- Built financial models and advised Strabag on the evaluation of multiple solar projects at different stages
- Advised ISA on the evaluation of a potential toll road concession acquisition
- Advised Celsia on the evaluation of a potential acquisition of a regional transmission line
- Advised CHEC (Grupo EPM) on the incorporation of a strategic partner for renewable energy development, including acquisition opportunities and tax equity structuring under Law 1715

Federico Greiffenstein Associate
Background
Business Administrator from Universidad de los Andes with more than five years of experience in investment banking, focused on M&A, corporate financing, and project structuring across infrastructure, renewable energy, technology, and financial services. He has led analyst teams at Ágora across multiple buy-side, sell-side, and financing processes involving companies and infrastructure assets
